The church as “army” or “hospital”

At Linworth, our commitment is to train every member to be able to provide a verbal witness for Christ.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” - Acts 1:8

“But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.” - I Peter 3:15

On top of this foundation, we believe it is vital to serve the physical needs in our community. We desire to reach out to people in need or crises, and be the “hands and feet” of Christ.

“In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” - Matthew 5:16

We believe that short term mission trips build global Christians. We are committed to providing overseas opportunities for partnerships in evangelism, church planting, and compassion ministries. Our goal is to equip every member of Linworth to be a “global” Christian.

“Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.” - Matthew 18:19-20

We believe that church-planting is at the center of God’s strategy in fulfilling His mission. This was the task of Paul’s devotion. He not only conveyed the Message, but he sought to launch gatherings of believers who could live out the message to its fullest. Church planting and development comprises the story of the New Testament after Jesus’ ascension. Where loving, redemptive communities are established, every good thing can emerge.
