Character is Everything, Part #4

Last week we talked about three words in relation to anger: stick, cancel, and laugh.  Do you remember how those words related to the demands we make?  Are you discerning demands this week?  Stick to those that are just; cancel those that are self-serving; and laugh at those that are childish.  If that talk helped you, why not pass it on to the members of your life group or a friend.   

This week we will examine another juxtaposition made by the writer of Proverbs.  The author believes these two divergent pathways cut to the heart of what brings real fulfillment.  The clarion call between our culture and Scripture, between wisdom and foolishness is razor sharp in this arena.    Be sure to come Sunday and invite a friend to learn more of God's upside down wisdom.  The pathway to strong character is learning and applying wisdom.


First Service is Calling!

We are running out of available space at the 11:15 service.  This week we had nearly 300 people in the sanctuary and had to get very creative with parking.  If you are not bringing a guest and do not have serving responsibilities please consider coming first service. 


New Work Update

Our elders continue to talk/pray about the direction of resources and energy to establishing a new church or ministry in urban Columbus.   Please pray for us - this is a big decision and we are very close to a conclusion. 


Facility Excellence

Recently a team of volunteers walked through our entire building listing needed fixes, improvements, and updates.   We are in the process now of prioritizing this list and the level of financial investment we can make to address them. We also have ordered drawings to study the potential reconfiguration of the Youth Room.
